Our shipping charges are simple to understand with flat rates for the 3 zones:

We do this because this is how Australia Post charges us. We would love to give our friends in The Alice, Darwin, Port Headland, Kalgoorlie and even Perth better rates, but its not up to us. An example was when we shipped a Bumbo seat which isn't that large (40x40x30cm and 3.5kg) to South Headland in WA and it cost around $70. Ouch. We have tried to include as many areas as we can in the Metro zone and as many outlying areas in the Regional zone (instead of the Rural zone) as we can so hopefully we've minimised the cost to you wherever possible.
We ship to all addresses within Australia via Australia Post. Yes, we do ship outside Australia, however we quote this shipping on a case by case basis. For overseas shipping, please contact us with a list of the items you would like to ship and we will give you a price.
We try to use Australia Post for most deliveries to allow us to ship to PO Boxes and internationally. If no-one is at the delivery location, Australia Post will leave the delivery at the closest Post Office for your convenience. Sometimes items are larger than the maximum allowed by Australia Post and we use other courier companies. If no-one is at the delivery address, the courier will leave a card with a phone number to call to arrange collection. All reasonable efforts to deliver your order will be made, however customers are responsible to have someone at the delivery address to receive delivery and sign for same. Baby.com.au shall not be responsible for delivery being received by unauthorised persons. Any cost for re-delivery will be passed to the customer if the delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery. We highly recommend that you choose a delivery address, where during the main course of the day someone is present to accept your delivery. Your workplace is the ideal delivery point.
For items which are currently on hand and available for immediate shipping the in stock icon will be displayed. For other items we display an estimated time for the item to arrive at Baby.com.au from the manufacturer. If a manufacturer does not have the item in stock, this time will be longer and we will inform you if the period will be more than 1 week over our indicated times. For multiple items on one order coming in from manufacturers, we usually wait until all items have arrived and ship as one delivery. If you require an item more urgently, please contact us and we may be able to arrange delivery of any key items sooner. From our location estimated Australia Post shipping times are:
- Sydney Metro: 1-3 working days
- Other NSW: 2-5 working days
- Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide Metro area: 2-4 working days
- Other Capitals & Regional areas: 4-7 working days
Items Returned to Sender
If for whatever reason the carrier cannot get the parcel to you after a period of time (usually 2 weeks) they will return the parcel to us at our cost, which is effectively the cost to send the parcel to you plus in some cases a bit more.
If for any reason we have made an error which has resulted in us not sending the parcel to the correct address or we have nominated an incorrect service and the parcel has been returned to us, we will immediately re-ship it to you at our cost to your correct address and with the correct service.
If however, the parcel has been returned to us as a result of error or inaction on your part, and we incur additional charges for the return shipment and then for shipment back out to your advised address, then we reserve the right to pass these additional charges that we incur onto you, as a condition of sending the parcel back to you.
We will use our reasonable efforts to deliver your Products to you within the estimated delivery time indicated on your Order Confirmation; however, we do not guarantee that we will deliver within this time frame.
Title and risk of loss to all Products will pass to you at the point we deliver the goods to the carrier. We strongly suggest you add a tracking number to your delivery during checkout.
